OK, here is another shot of the "Tranquil Lake". Yes, that is actually a loading area. I took these pictures at work today.

The area is located behind our warehouses, which is heavily flooded due to three days of heavy rain.

I thought that this was worth sharing. :D

Wow, that looks like it's really dangerous to be driving through. Cool, though.

DA is screwy today, thought my comment didn't posted heh.

But yeah, some trucks won't even come to do their pick up today. Our maintenance team is looking into something/one to pump that water from the area. :(

So where are you at? Where is it flooding so badly? We need some of that water here in California... it is too dry here. Could U have some of those trucks deliver that flood water to Southern California? We could sure use it!!

LOL ... sure thing, I'll ask one of the truckers to deliver some of our excess water clear across the country. I'm in North Carolina and we had some major rain here in the last three days. Today it cleared up, thank goodness!

Happy Thanksgiving, Eric. :hungry: :D

And thanks for the :+fav:

That is SO spooky! My father, whom I am not very close to, has just bought a farm out in North Carolina.... I have never seen North Carolina in my entire life, as I am here in California. My father decided he is going to retire there, after his last 2 years at work. I have no icea where I am going to retire, as I haven't become a millionaire yet...

Oh wow, what a coincidence!! I do like NC, the countryside is beautiful and it reminds me a lot of Germany. We have 4 seasons here, which is also very German-like. LOL

But I still think about the year I spend in CA!! I had a freakin' blast living in North Hollywood, working for a make up artist. I took care of her 8 year old son. If I could choose any place to live, it would be Southern California (despite the Earthquakes lol - I went through the Northridge Earthquake, so I doubt that any of the smaller tremors could scare me) :D

I just wonder where to move to where a House is affordable. California is nice, but you now have to be rich to buy a house here. Even the ORDINARY houses are way too expensive. My younger brother is barely making it, with a $650,000 house, with a $3,009 a month mortgage payments! The house is a FIXER Upper, and it had TONS of problems with it!! :shocking:

Here I can't even afford to buy a house, and I am the only one in my family that is renting someone else's home. My dad owns several homes in California, plus one in North Carolina, My brother owns 2 homes, and is thinking of getting a third home. Mom only has 1 house in Oregon, and it is so expensive for her salary, that she has to have a roommate to help pay the mortgage. Me? I don't even own a single house, and my tiny salary will not even qualify me for payments on an outhouse!! :o

I don't get how everyone else is managing to get homes. But then again, everyone else in my family makes more money than I do. I am the poorest one in the family. The family starving artist.... But I am working on getting a side business going to bring in extra money. My job will not ever pay more than it is now, and raises are very slim now with the economy the way it is. The corporation that I work for is having budget problems, and trying to stay profitable....

Hmmm :(

Everything is certainly much more affordable down here. Cali is quite expensive, and not just the real estate, but clothing, food, everything. The cost of living is just too high out there.

So, if your family has that much money, why don't they help you out now and then?

And what do you do for a living, if I may ask? :)
